How to know which thing has priority over the others? Beyond the classic trial and error? My advice is really to stick to mods that don't overlap each other, and to only include overlapping mods when you really know what you're doing. So, if you put Unearthed Arcana on top of Synergies, you will get all the great items from Synergies, but you will get the slightly modified but still vanilla enemies from Unearthed Arcana, resulting in a very easy experience, since both modify the enemies stats, but only Synergies modify the items. Two overhaul mods usually don't go together well. That's why it is not recommended to have multiple mods touching the same thing. The mods at the top will take precedence over the mods at the bottom. For instance, if both Synergies and Torchlight 2 Essentials modify the file for the Grell boss, then you need to know which one will be actually used. TL2 should automatically generate a new not corrupted one by launch. (i hope its not different in the steamversion) Just drag this 'modlauncher.sch' to another directory. Because of this, we'll want to stay away from "melee" damage (damage/physical damage WITH a melee weapon is fine, but not "melee damage"). The initial hit itself is pretty "meh", but those projectiles can do some real damage. With molten strike we'll be focusing on the projectiles. I personally like Pillar of the Caged God for early leveling due to it's long term scaling, though mid/late cruel it starts to fall off at which point a Cauteriser is amazing for synergy with our hybrid physical/weapon elemental damage build. High phys damage or hybrid phys/fire damage. There's no real specific leveling uniques, just basically any standard leveling uniques you would use for a melee build will work. There's very few nodes you'll need to change later, with a total cost of 8 refund points to swap between 2h and 1h builds. I personally didn't mind leveling using molten strike, but it may be a good idea to instead use a 2h while leveling, and just use double strike with melee splash, or cleave, or whatever your favorite leveling skill for melee may be. You'll get more movement speed, a little bit more clear, but basically nothing can really hurt you, and everything dies reasonably fast, but you have to go up and punch everything in the face. That's basically how your build will feel forever. Get yourself a redbeak, or any other similar good starting weapon, get your molten strike right at level 1, and go into the next area. One of the great things with molten strike, is you get to understand pretty much out of the gate what it feels like to use the build. Once you get used to what's scary and be cautious approaching it (you're a volcano, not a god), you should be perfectly fine. Because you're always in everything's face, what you're really scared of is things that prevent you from acting to block / build charges / leech. Until you get your merciless ascendancy, cold mobs are terrifying. **While I would say the build is hardcore viable, you do have to be aware that different things are dangerous than most builds. We can survive it no problem, but making the time is very hard The damage reduction vortexes slow us down too much since we need to meet things face to face, we're often forced to fight in those zones. Note that this isn't "20 mirror build" fast, but "on-level melee" fast.Ĭost: Medium~ (roughly 5 ex depending on quality of items) In fact, the build was doing so much damage, I actually had to be careful about burning him too fast and failing the fight mechanics (stupid charge disruptors). I'm happy to say that clearing T12 maps currently, the build is still perfectly fulfilling that goal, easily handling whatever is thrown at it, including solo uber lab at level 76 where Izaro was a pushover. This means be immovable, and throw little lava balls everywhere. Tired of the meta "big aoe" builds, I wanted to make something a little more personal. As always, my builds start with a core idea of what I want to go for as a "style". I managed it easily as a child, so it can be a good starter edition for kids learning how to eat fish with bones. The bone reminds me a little of catfish, but different. In fact, the fish is kind of torpedo shaped with a three pointed bone. But the bone in whiting is fairly firm, so the fish comes off easily. Kids have it hard enough as it is without having to deal with tiny bones the way something like trout has. I know some of you worry about the bones, especially with kids and whatnot. And I know that finding pacific whiting on the bone can sometimes be a challenge- but just so you know, you can fry it up the same way, with it requiring less cooking time. Around Cincinnati, in the local fish bars, I can get fried whiting (and some even call it Jack Salmon here as well) but for the most part, that fish is filleted. So pay attention to that and remember it.Īnd I do like my Jack Salmon (whiting) whole and on the bone. Know what, you ask? That if you order Jack Salmon in the midwest, y’all ain’t gettin’ any salmon. So besides being totally delicious and something from my childhood that I wanted to prepare, I could see that it might have some small importance to tell people out there who don’t already know. As you can imagine, it can cause a lot of confusion. Louis and much of the midwest, where Jack Salmon is what we call Pacific Whiting. I am still hearing rumblings about salmon, so let me tell you about that.įor much of the northern tier of the USA and also Canada, salmon is simply something like walleye pike, coho salmon or young chinook salmon. Back in those days you could actually eat what you caught. For many years it was pretty much the only kind of fried fish I knew, unless Dad went fishing. Besides, our family wasn’t that well off and jack salmon was notoriously cheap. So yes, this kind of fish is what I grew up with. And somehow, over the years, the suspicion of codfish (I used to think about Captain Hook when she spoke of it) spread to other types of fish as well, so long as they were baked. She told me she had been tortured (this is from a child’s memory) having to take cod liver oil supplements and to her it smelled so atrocious, she claimed that for the rest of her life the smell of it made her want to gag. She would never eat something like baked cod. And some of the best kind of whitefish you can get- and what was my Mom’s favorite. (There you guys go again, yelling at me that it’s not salmon!) Yes. When the topic came up for this month, I just knew right away that I wanted to fry up some jack salmon. Some of you may have chosen your fighting words already, while others might wonder what the hubbub is all about. It’s time once again for Fish Friday Foodies and there is nothing like choosing a recipe that will start a good old-fashioned war. Louis Style Jack Salmon is an old-fashioned Midwestern fish fry featuring – not salmon, but Pacific Whiting. How do I get a pound sign on my Mac keyboard? If the witness agrees that a contradiction has been made, then the judge instructs the jury to disregard his testimony, and the witness is discredited. Specifically, the witness is shown the section of the statement that he is accused of contradicting. The witness is then asked to return to the stand, and his prior statement is shown to him so that he can identify it as his own. The person who took the witness’ pre-trial statement is then asked to come to the stand and prove to the judge that the statement was made. If the witness denies this, he is then asked to step down from the stand. If the judge agrees, then the jury is made aware that the witness has made a statement that significantly differed from, or contradicted, the one he had made previously. When an attorney suspects a witness of being hostile, he makes an application to the judge, absent the jury, asking the judge to treat the witness as hostile. When a witness is declared as hostile, he is being accused of contradicting his pre-trial statement while on the witness stand. This does not prove whether the information contained in the statement is indeed factual. If this happens, the statement is only used as proof of the fact that the witness is giving inconsistent testimony. The attorney can also cross-examine his own witness based on the contents of the witness’ pre-trial statement. The attorney can ask the witness leading questions to get him to say what the attorney wants him to say. If a judge decides that the witness on the stand is acting as a hostile witness, the attorney who called that witness may be given permission to pose questions as though he were cross-examining the witness. What Happens if Someone is Declared a Hostile Witness This means that, just because the witness is providing unhelpful or unfavorable evidence, it does not mean he is doing so in an effort to be vindictive. The judge can also rule that the witness is an unfavorable witness, not a hostile witness. In determining who can be considered a hostile witness, the judge decides, based on the witness’ demeanor and credibility, if the witness should, in fact, be treated as hostile. Hostile witnesses can only be declared as such by a judge, though it is generally at the request of the attorney posing the questions. For example, a hostile witness can no longer be trusted and, as such, his own attorney can treat him as if he was working for the opposition, and can question him accordingly. Included in the statement are the facts and evidence that a witness agrees to provide in open court at the trial of the matter.Ī witness is declared as hostile, however, when his account under oath changes significantly from that which was provided in his pre-trial statement. Witnesses provide what are known as “pre- trial statements,” which are statements that essentially sum up the relevance of that witness to that particular case. What is a Hostile WitnessĪ hostile witness is someone who appears to be refusing to tell the truth in a court of law – or one who, by his actions or statements, is contrary to the party who called him. A witness who shows bias against the case of the party who called the witness.A witness who refuses to tell the truth in court after having previously declared he would do so. In what a courtroom reporter for The Advocate described as a “gripping but respectful back-and-forth exchange,” the judge sentenced him to a ten-year suspended sentence with three years of probation, meaning if YoungBoy violates the terms he’ll return to prison to serve the full sentence. In late August 2017, YoungBoy appeared in front of Judge Bonnie Jackson at the 19th Judicial District Courthouse in his hometown of Baton Rouge. These early works featured the day’s top brass, including Ron Kauk, Boone Speed, John Bachar, and, perhaps most memorably, Dan Osman. But the first four, all released in the nineties, best represent the Masters of Stone brand of hardcore, heavy-metal-fueled extreme-sports action. Eric Perlman (and also, originally, Mike Hatchett) directed a total of six Masters of Stone films over roughly two decades, beginning in 1991. The Masters of Stone videos were the first serialized climbing films. Sharma slaps his way up dozens of first ascents of now iconic problems, demonstrating in the process why bouldering would be here to stay. Rampage is the story of the then 18-year-old Chris Sharma, now considered one of the best rock climbers in history, and his charismatic, strong friend Obe Carrion, taking a road trip to some classic blocks around the West. Go to any bouldering area in California today, where hordes of pad-carrying, tune-bumping young guns session five-star sickness, and it’s nearly impossible to imagine a time when most climbers didn’t take bouldering seriously, deriding it as “practice climbing.” Films like Rampage, though, helped usher in the bouldering revolution, opening up the sport to a wider and more youthful demographic. If you’re going to watch one thing about Everest, make it this. The resulting film is richly textured, centering on a group of people who too often have been left out of the spotlight on the world’s tallest mountain. That year, 16 Sherpas died in an avalanche while working to fix ropes and ladders across the dangerous Khumbu Icefall. Following the 2013 “Everest Brawl” that broke out after an unfortunate confrontation between a Sherpa rope-fixing team and three European hotshots, including the late Ueli Steck, Sherpa director Jennifer Peedom went to the peak in 2014 with the idea of doing a documentary on the Indigenous porters. But it is the other Everest film released that year, Sherpa, that delivers a better depiction of the tensions and dangers on the mountain today. Everest, featuring Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, and Keira Knightley, is a dramatization of the infamous 1996 tragedy documented in Jon Krakauer’s iconic book Into Thin Air. Mount Everest was the stage for two major films released in 2015. Laura Tiefenthaler Solos the Eiger’s North Face in a Day The political subplots involving the Nazi regime’s ambitions around the first ascent of the Eiger’s “Murder Wall” slow the film down some, but hang in there-with all due respect to Herr Kurz-for some thrilling climbing drama. This subtitled German-language film veers from some of the historical facts but hews closely to the most haunting details from the tragedy, including a depiction of poor, doomed Kurz dangling for an eternity with thousands of feet of air beneath him, yet too far away from the mountainside to get himself back onto firm ground. North Face ( Nordwand, as it’s titled in German) dramatizes one of these horrific failures: the 1936 disaster in which Andreas Hinterstoisser, Toni Kurz, Willy Angerer, and Edi Rainer all perished. Sure enough, a bunch of climbers, who once were only recognized at dusty Camp 4 picnic tables in Yosemite Valley, strutted up onto that rarified stage. The first generation of the Thunderbird lasted from 1955–1957. In 1967, Ford brought out the first four-door T-Bird in history, which was very successful at first, but sales soon slumped. Originally, Ford only made the Thunderbird available as a two-door convertible with a removable fiberglass top, but soon they added a Rayon-top option, and in 1958 Ford introduced a four-seater version. The Thunderbird sold well, almost eclipsing 100,000 cars annually for a few model years. The first six generations of the Ford Thunderbird spanned 22 model years from 1955–1976.
